MTPS member Keith Carmichael has been taken on at the museum for the summer to work as a conductor. Keith is well experienced at this having worked for Crosville and Crich (see pic - right). He brings his own enthusiasm to the job showing customers around our exhibits with his own particular kind of humour.

Friday 8th February 2002 Official Launch of Wallasey 78 |
Subject to approval by H.M.Railway Inspectorate, it is intended to launch Wallasey 78 on Sunday 17th March 2002. This date marks the centenary of the opening of Wallasey's electric tramways. It is hoped to have a similar ceremony to the one for Birkenhead 20 (with less rain, perhaps), so dig out the old 1902 gear and come along. (Edwardian clothing not essential!) |
